Working alongside trusted local businesses such as Adam at Ludlow Windows & Doors Ltd, homeowners are able to create cohesive interior and exterior finishes tailored to their property. From new windows and modern composite doors through to shutters, smart blinds and premium window furnishings, combining the right products gives a far more complete and high-end finish throughout the home. Before and after: a dated front door replaced with a modern composite door by Ludlow Windows & Doors Ltd. ## The impact of new windows and doors New windows and doors are often the single biggest visual improvement a homeowner can make. The right upgrade lifts the whole property in one step. - Improved kerb appeal - Better insulation - Enhanced security - Lower maintenance - A cleaner, more premium appearanceComposite doors and modern glazing are now available in a wide range of heritage styles, contemporary finishes, colour options, glazing choices and premium hardware, so homeowners can modernise their property without losing the character and style of the original. ## Modern windows and home styling Modern grey windows continue to grow in popularity thanks to their sleek and timeless appearance. They work especially well alongside shutters, Roman blinds, motorised blinds, blackout blinds, embroidered curtains and modern interior finishes, creating a cohesive look across the inside and outside of the property. At Shires Shutters Awnings Blinds we supply a range of made to measure window furnishings, all matched carefully to the new glazing. - Hardwood shutters - Roman blinds - Venetian blinds - Roller blinds - Smart blinds - Blackout blinds - Perfect Fit blinds - Motorised blindsPairing new windows with the right window furnishings transforms open plan living spaces, bedrooms, kitchens, bay windows, home offices and modern extensions, giving each room a more premium and finished feel. ## Combining modern upgrades with character homes Many homeowners worry about losing the charm of an older property when upgrading windows and doors. The key is choosing products that complement the home rather than overpower it. Pairing heritage style doors and modern glazing with hardwood shutters, embroidered fabrics, soft furnishings and smart blinds allows a home to feel modernised while keeping its warmth and character. This works particularly well in cottages, barn conversions, Victorian homes, rural Shropshire properties and modern heritage interiors. ## Energy efficiency and year-round comfort Modern glazing and quality window furnishings also help with insulation, draught reduction, privacy, light control and temperature regulation. Layering shutters, blinds and curtains over modern windows gives both practical and visual benefits throughout the year. ## Supporting local independent businesses More homeowners are choosing local independent businesses over national chains because they value personal service, honest advice, attention to detail, quality workmanship and dealing directly with the business owner. Working with trusted local specialists such as Adam at Ludlow Windows & Doors Ltd consistently leads to a more personal and premium experience from survey through to installation. ## Home improvement inspiration in Ludlow and Shropshire At Shires Shutters Awnings Blinds we work alongside other trusted local businesses to help homeowners create premium interior and exterior finishes tailored to their property.
